HAD 123: Irish Whiskey Pt. 2 - Electric Boogaloo
I thought we just did this. . . how is there still more Irish Whiskey. I guess there is still more to talk about on this ancient spirit. I guess we can consume more uisce beatha and talk a bit more. You might want to get ready yourself for Irish Whiskey 2: Electric Boogaloo and Have a Drink
WHAT WE’RE DRINKING:
Beverage: Double Double Oaked
Brand: Woodford Reserve
Style: Kentucky Bourbon
Other (IBU, description, etc.): Double Double Oaked is the result of finishing mature Woodford Reserve Double Oaked for an additional year in its second, heavily toasted lightly charred new oak barrel. The extra year in the barrel creates a bourbon that is distinctly spicier than its original counterpart, known for its sweeter taste and finish. Color: Roasted coffee bean | Aroma: A robust medley of rich maple syrup, dark butterscotch, brittle caramel, bittersweet chocolate, burnt marshmallow and sweet hickory smoke notes dominate the nose. | Taste: Rich dried cherry and cranberry fruit swim in a blackberry jam brightened with hints of ripe apple. Chai tea and warming clove notes develop to spice up the palate. | Finish: Warm and drying with a lingering clove character.
Do we need a description anymore?
Beverage: Green Spot
Brand: Mitchell & Son
Style: Single pot still Irish Whiskey
Strength: 40% Alc.
