Ah Scotch, that angriest of Whisky. Where else can you go for that smoky aroma? That interesting flavor, that delicious peatiness. What is peat anyway . . . It’s what? I’M DRINKING WHAT? Well, despite that, Scotch is a favorite around here, and we are going to try and tell you what we can about what makes it so special.

Monkey Shoulder | A Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Blended by: William Grant & Sons Lt. from three Speyside Single Malts. The parent company also owns the brands Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Sailor Jerry Rum and Hendricks Gin
The name monkey shoulder comes from the injury Distillery workers would get when they would spend all day turning malting barley manually in the malt houses.
Nose: Zesty orange and Vanilla, Honey and Spiced Oak
Taste: Vanilla and spice
