HAD 112: Absinthe
Ah, Absinthe. I guess it’s time to get into hallucinogens. Maybe next week we can do an episode on ‘shrooms or LSD. Well probably not, and, spoilers, absinthe doesn’t make you hallucinate. If it doesn’t though, why was the green fairy banned in the US for all those years, and what’s the point in drinking it. We’re going to find out today, so gather up your sugar cubes and get ready for some death in the afternoon, while we have a drink

Made from a host of real botanical ingredients, ours is a layered and evocative expression of this beguiling and highly spirituous herbal elixir. And it has a monkey on the label! (The distiller does not recommend adding sugar “We developed our formulation over years of patient experimentation and think it’s pretty much perfect just as it is. We don’t advocate adding sugar to our absinthe—or to any other artisanally distilled absinthe for that matter.”) Listed by VinePair as one of the 9 best Absinthe available in the U.S. https://vinepair.com/buy-this-booze/9-best-absinthe-united-states/
